You must be at least 18 years old and able to enter into a binding contract to use our services. You represent that you are the property owner or are authorized to request work on the property you submit. Clavos currently serves properties in Pennsylvania; availability for your address is confirmed during the ordering process.
Clavos lets you enter your property address, receive an instant estimated price for a new roof across available product tiers, reserve an installation with a deposit, and schedule a site survey — largely online, without an in-person sales visit. Roof installation is performed by Clavos and/or its vetted, licensed local roofing subcontractors.
Your instant price is an estimate generated from third-party aerial or satellite imagery and the information you provide. It is calculated from an automated measurement of your roof and standard per-square-foot pricing for the tier you select.
When you place an order, you authorize us to charge the deposit shown at checkout to your selected payment method through our payment processor, Stripe. The deposit reserves your installation and is applied toward your total price. Placing an order and paying a deposit does not by itself create a binding installation contract; it begins the process of verifying and scheduling your job (see Sections 5–7).
Remaining amounts are billed at later milestones (for example, after your survey confirms the job, before installation, and on completion), as disclosed to you. You are responsible for providing accurate information and for any applicable taxes.
After your deposit, we verify your roof two ways: an independent third-party aerial measurement report, and an on-site survey by your local installer. If the verified measurement or the on-site findings differ materially from your estimate — for example, a larger roof, steeper pitch, difficult access, or hidden damage such as compromised decking — we will provide an updated price for your approval.
You are not obligated to proceed at a changed price. If you do not approve the updated price, you may cancel and receive a refund of your deposit as described in Section 7.
Because your roof is a home improvement performed in Pennsylvania, the actual installation is governed by a separate written home improvement contract that complies with the Pennsylvania Home Improvement Consumer Protection Act (HICPA). That contract sets out the final price, scope, materials, schedule, warranty, and your cancellation rights, and it controls the installation work. These Terms govern your use of the website and the ordering process; where these Terms conflict with your signed home improvement contract regarding the work, the signed contract controls.
Three-day right to cancel. Under Pennsylvania law, you may cancel your home improvement contract for any reason within three (3) business days after signing it, and receive a full refund of amounts paid, including your deposit.
Before the job is confirmed. Your deposit is held while we verify and schedule your job. If you cancel before installation begins — or if you decline an updated price under Section 5 — your deposit is refundable, subject only to any third-party costs already incurred on your behalf and disclosed to you.
Refunds are issued to your original payment method. Once installation work has begun under a signed contract, cancellation and any amounts owed are governed by that contract.
Installation is performed by Clavos (Fortress Siding, LLC) and/or its vetted, licensed local roofing subcontractors. We are responsible for coordinating your project. You agree to provide safe and reasonable access to the property and to disclose known conditions that may affect the work. Scheduling is estimated and may be affected by weather, materials, permitting, and site conditions.
Your roofing materials carry the applicable manufacturer's material warranty for the product tier you select (for example, 30-year, 50-year, or lifetime, per the manufacturer's terms). Workmanship is covered as stated in your signed home improvement contract. Warranty terms, coverage, and any transferability are defined by the manufacturer and your contract.
Financing, if you choose it, is offered through a third-party partner (Hearth) and is subject to that partner's application, approval, terms, and rates. Clavos is not a lender, does not make credit decisions, and does not guarantee approval or any particular terms. Your obligation to pay Clavos is not contingent on obtaining financing unless expressly agreed in writing.
Referral or partner codes and same-day discounts are valid only as stated, may expire, cannot be combined unless specified, have no cash value, and may be modified or revoked in cases of error, misuse, or fraud. Discounts apply only to qualifying orders that proceed to completion.
Referral codes are issued to independent referral partners (such as solar representatives, real estate professionals, and trade contractors). When a job placed with a partner's code is installed and paid in full, Clavos may pay that partner a referral fee. Referral fees are paid by Clavos and do not increase the price you pay; partner discounts are applied to your quoted price as stated.
If you opt in, we may send you service and/or marketing text messages as described in our Privacy Policy. Message and data rates may apply, message frequency varies, and consent to marketing texts is not a condition of purchase. Reply STOP to opt out or HELP for help.
The website and its content — including text, graphics, logos, and the CLAVOS name and marks (trademark pending) — are owned by or licensed to us and are protected by intellectual property laws. You may not copy, reproduce, or use our content or marks without our prior written permission.
You agree to use the website only for lawful purposes and not to submit false information, request a price for a property you are not authorized to represent, interfere with the site's operation or security, or attempt to access data that is not yours.
The website and instant estimates are provided "as is" and "as available" without warranties of any kind, express or implied, including merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement. We do not warrant that estimates will match final contract prices, or that the website will be uninterrupted or error-free. This section does not limit the warranties that apply to installed roofing work under your signed home improvement contract or under applicable law.
To the fullest extent permitted by law, Clavos and its owners, employees, and subcontractors will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or for lost profits or data, arising from your use of the website or these Terms. Our total liability for any claim relating to the website or the ordering process will not exceed the amount you paid to us for the order giving rise to the claim. Nothing in these Terms limits liability that cannot be limited under applicable law, or your rights under your signed home improvement contract.
You agree to indemnify and hold harmless Clavos (Fortress Siding, LLC) and its personnel from claims, damages, and expenses arising out of your misuse of the website, your violation of these Terms, or your submission of inaccurate or unauthorized information.
These Terms are governed by the laws of the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania, without regard to its conflict-of-laws rules. You agree that any dispute relating to the website or these Terms will be brought exclusively in the state or federal courts located in Pennsylvania, and you consent to their jurisdiction. Nothing here affects any rights or remedies available to you as a consumer under Pennsylvania law, including under HICPA.
We may update these Terms from time to time. Changes are effective when posted on this page with an updated effective date. Your continued use of the website after changes are posted means you accept the updated Terms.
